RAM Makes Your PC Go Faster

NAS Drive - Extra-Storage, Extra-Safe, Extra-Easy

Network-attached Storage (NAS) is basically a networked hard drive sitting on your business network. This particular model, the Seagate Black Armor NAS220, has TWO 1 Terabyte hard drives which can operate with or without RAID. For example, if you choose RAID 1, you'll be guaranteed 1TB of data which is always in sync with the other hard drive, thereby guaranteeing the availability of your data at all times. All this is readily accessible via the Gigabit network card. View the datasheet here. Available to order now!

Windows XP & Internet Explorer 9

Internet Explorer 9 is officially here and if you want it you'll have to say goodbye to Windows XP as it's not supported unfortunately. I myself am very unwilling to get rid of XP but taking this and news that the new iCloud service from apple also won't support it, there are definite signs that Windows XP is running out of time.

Internet Explorer 9

Anyway, for all you Vista and Windows 7 users, here's a quick rundown of some new features to look forward to in Microsofts latest web browser.

1. It's Faster

2. Simplified Design

3. New Download Manager.

4. Redesigned 'New Tab'

5. Integration with Windows 7

6. Increased Privacy

The Calling Card

Most of you I'm sure are very familiar with our Remote Support service via remotesuport.ie.The ability to provide on-demand IT support is extremely efficient, transparent and cost-effective for our clients. The biggest obstacle to actually connecting to the remote computer is if the clients pc cannot open Internet Explorer or Firefox. For example, a browser hijack malware problem may restrict your ability open your web browser.. Historically, If we were unable to direct the client to our website where we would initiate the remote session, this would result in the customer requiring a site visit.

PCtechnix - Calling Card

In order to avoid these situations, we proactively install the 'PCtechnix Calling Card' on every computer we have previously provided remote support to, install or repair, etc. Should a customer with the calling card pre-installed run into any IT issues, they simply click on the calling card, enter their name and wait for the remote support session to begin.
